Cladonia ramulosa

This is a species with small and brittle, basal squamules that may turn back to reveal the white under-surface. Podetia may be branched and may end in a point or narrow cup that carry brown apothecia that turn semi-translucent when wet. The surface of the podetia is covered in coarse squamules which break off easily when dry, leaving large areas decorticate.

Thallus: C-, K-, UV-
