Collema auriforme

New name: Lathagrium auriforme

A foliose species with a dark green-brown thallus that consists of lobes that swell significantly when wet. The smooth, undulating lobes are erect and covered with coarse, globular isidia which arise in discrete patches and sometimes cover the thallus.

Collema auriforme is mainly found in central and western Scotland where it prefers damp mosses and hard calcareous rocks in shaded sites, mortar, soil and shell sand dunes. BLS distribution map
