Cornicularia normoerica

A distinctive, fruticose species with a brown-black thallus that can be up to 2 cm high. The flattened branches may be sparingly branched. When present, the (sub)terminal apothecia have large, shiny black discs.

In Scotland, Cornicularia normoerica is locally common on well-lit and exposed, coarse-grained rocks in the Highlands. BLS distribution map
