Dimerella lutea

Revised name: Coenogonium luteum

A crustose species with a light to dark greenish grey thallus that is often hardly visible. The bright orange apothecia have paler, translucent margins, and are usually abundant.

In Scotland, Dimerella lutea is confined to the west where it grows on mossy trees and siliceous rocks in humid and shaded situations. BLS distribution map
