Lecanora fugiens

New name: Myriolecis fugiens

A crustose species with a granular or thin, light yellowish to tan, areolate thallus that may be evanescent. The apothecia have yellow-brown discs that are often fawn-pruinose and have persistent, contorted and sometimes crenulate, margins.

Thallus: C+ orange to orange-red, K+ pale yellow. Disc: UV+ bright orange

Lecanora fugiens occurs intermittently along the Scottish coast where it is found on well-lit, siliceous rocks in the xeric-supralittoral zone. BLS distribution map
