Lecidella scabra

A crustose species with a pale grey, warted thallus that is often only visible at the margins as it is covered in soralia. The colour of the soredia ranges from yellow-green to bluish green.

Thallus: K+ yellow. Soredia: C+ orange

In Scotland, Lecidella scabra is widespread except for parts of The Highlands. It is found on acid or slightly base-rich rocks and walls, including gravestones. BLS distribution map
