Creeping fingerwort
A distinctive, leafy liverwort that forms yellow-green to dark green mats of pinnately branched, creeping plants. Its leaves are characteristically hand-shaped with four, downcurved fingers.
Sporophytes mature from February to November.
In Scotland, Lepidozia reptans is widespread in deciduous and coniferous woodland where it grows on stumps, rotting logs and humus banks. BBS distribution map
