Physcia tenella

A foliose species with long, narrow, rather erect lobes and prominent marginal cilia. The lobe ends are flat, but may turn back to reveal coarse, cream-coloured soredia.

Physcia tenella can grow intermixed with Physcia adscendens.

Physcia tenella is distinguished from Physcia adscendens by the flat, rather than hooded and inflated lobe ends.
