Placopsis gelida

A distinctive placodioid lichen that forms pinkish grey to cream-brown adpressed rosettes. Scattered over the surface are pink to brown, lobed cephalodia, as well as soralia and apothecia that have pinkish to dark red-brown discs that are often pruinose, and that have thick, thalline margins.
