Ramalina canariensis

A fruticose lichen with matt grey-green lobes that are wrinkled and only slightly branched. The lobe tips become inflated and split open to reveal farinose soredia.

Medulla and soralia: C-, K-, UV+- blue-white

In Scotland, Ramalina canariensis is found intermittently in coastal areas where it is found on well-lit, base-rich bark, rock underhangs and church walls. BLS distribution map
