Rinodina oleae

A crustose species with a dull greenish grey to dark brown-grey thallus that is granular, cracked or almost absent. Apothecia are usually abundant, and have  brown-black discs and a thick, pale, margin that may become excluded with age.

In Scotland, Rinodina oleae is mainly a coastal and lowland species where it is common on well-lit, basic or nutrient-enriched substrata such as rocks, mortar and concrete. BLS distribution map
