Xanthoparmelia loxodes

A foliose species with a large, yellow-brown to brown thallus that is slightly shiny. The lobes are long and narrow, somewhat convex and not or only slightly widening at the rather square-cut tips. The lobe surface has slight transverse wrinkles. Coarse spherical isidia form conspicuous cauliflower-like clusters that may become confluent and erode to leave prominent white scars.
