Lecanora symmicta

A crustose species with a thin and granular or areolate thallus that is pale yellowish green or grey and forms neat patches with no, or only a diffuse, prothallus. There are no soralia and the margins of the apothecia become excluded very early on. The apothecia have yellowish discs that become convex and darker with age.

Thallus: C+- orange, K-, UV+ dull orange

Lecanora symmicta is distinguished from Lecanora confusa on basis of the thalline margin that becomes excluded early on.
