Plagiomnium undulatum

English name: Hart’s-tongue thyme-moss

A conspicuous acrocarpous moss with branched, greenish stems and tongue-shaped leaves with toothed margins.

In Scotland, Plagiomnium undulatum is widespread in woodlands, hedgerows, churchyards and quarries where it grows on logs and stumps, rocks and soil. BBS distribution map
