English name: Dentated silk-moss
A pleurocarpous moss with translucent and glossy shoots that are arranged in one plane. The leaves are asymmetrical in shape, with one side more strongly curved than the other.
Capsules mature from late winter to summer.
In Scotland, Plagiothecium denticulatum agg. is widespread in both broadleaved and coniferous woodland where it grows on tree stumps and logs, rocks and soil. BBS distribution map
