Chrysothrix chlorina

A leprose species with a vivid lemon-yellow thallus that is thick and coarsely granular.

Thallus: C-, K+- faintly orange, UV+ orange

In Scotland, Chrysothrix chlorina occurs locally in the Cairngorms and northern Highlands where it prefers dry crevices of hard, very shaded, acid rocks. BLS distribution map

Chrysothrix chlorina is distinguished from Psilolechia lucida on basis of its vivid bright yellow, thicker and granular thallus.
