Lecanora conizaeoides

A crustose lichen with a grey-green, thick and coarsely granular thallus that is entirely covered in soredia. The apothecia have greenish buff to flesh-coloured discs and slightly crenulate margins that may be flexuose and become covered in similar granules as the thallus.

Thallus: C-, K+ weakly yellow, UV+ dull orange

In Scotland, Lecanora conizaeoides is mainly restricted to southern and eastern areas where it is found on acid-barked trees and fenceposts. BLS distribution map
