Lecanora intricata

A crustose species with yellow-green to yellow-brown areoles that are flat or slightly wrinkled and have crenulate margins. Sometimes, a dark prothallus is present. The apothecia are characteristically emerald to green-black and remain fairly flat.

Thallus: C-, K+- indistinctly yellow, UV+- dull orange

In Scotland, Lecanora intricata is found on siliceous rocks, including gravestones, in upland areas. BLS distribution map
