Below an overview of lichen species found along the coast of North-East Scotland. Included in this picture gallery are species of rocky shores, clifftops, coastal sand dunes and other types of coast, and species growing on rock, bark, soil, wood and various manmade substrata. Though representing a good cross section of the most common coastal species, the species list doesn’t necessarily represent all species found in coastal habitats in Scotland.
